Can I train to become a driving instructor while keeping my current job? +
Yes! Our driving instructor training in Portsmouth is completely flexible. We structure 1-to-1 training sessions around your existing work hours, family commitments, or current job, allowing you to transition smoothly into your new career at a pace that suits you.
What qualifications do I need to start ADI instructor training in the UK? +
To qualify for DVSA instructor training, you must be at least 21 years old, have held a full UK or EU driving licence for at least 3 years, have no more than 6 penalty points, and pass an enhanced DVSA criminal record (DBS) check.
Can I earn money as a trainee instructor on a PDI licence? +
Absolutely. Once you pass your ADI Part 2 exam and complete 40 hours of Part 3 training, you can apply for a DVSA Trainee Licence (Pink Badge). This allows you to gain real-world teaching experience and earn an income under franchise sponsorship before sitting your final Part 3 test.
