Passing your practical test is a massive milestone, but driving on high-speed motorways like the M27, A3(M), or M270 can feel intimidating for new and experienced drivers alike.
As a Grade A DVSA-Approved Instructor, I offer structured motorway coaching designed to eliminate slip-road nerves, help you read high-speed traffic flow, and ensure you feel calm and in complete control behind the wheel.
What We Cover in Your Session
Joining & Leaving Safely
Mastering slip-road matching speed, finding safe gaps in fast-moving traffic, and executing smooth, confident exits without last-minute panic.
Smart Motorways & Rules
Understanding variable speed limits, red 'X' gantries, emergency refuge areas, and breakdown safety procedures so you're never caught off guard.
Lane Discipline & Overtaking
Developing high-speed forward planning, safe blind-spot checks, smooth overtaking manoeuvres, and managing large HGVs with ease.
Lesson Format & Requirements
- Minimum 2-Hour Sessions: To give you adequate time to drive on actual motorway networks (e.g., M27/A3M routes) without feeling rushed.
- Dual-Control Safety: Conducted in modern, dual-controlled tuition vehicles for complete safety and peace of mind.
- Who It's For: Newly qualified drivers, nervous full-licence holders, or drivers returning to the road after a long break.
- Door-to-Door Service: Pick-up and drop-off anywhere across Portsmouth (PO1–PO5).
Motorway Lesson Rates
£40.00 / hour
(Minimum 2-hour session required for motorway routes. Door-to-door service included in PO1–PO5.)
How Provisional Booking Works:
- Pick Your Time: Click the button below to view live availability on Google Calendar and reserve your preferred slot.
- Receive Your Total Drive Link: Once I review your reservation between lessons, I will enter your details into my system and text/email you a secure link to download the Total Drive app along with your login details.
- Confirm & Secure Your Lesson: Log in to the app, complete your pupil profile, and make your payment to lock in your booking.
(Note: Provisional reservations are held for 48 hours to allow payment confirmation before the slot reopens.)
