You have worked hard to become an Approved Driving Instructor, and your busy diary relies on recommendations. They will only come if you consistently deliver driving lessons that make your pupils satisfied they have chosen well in selecting you as their Instructor.
Standards need to be maintained and improved, but without someone monitoring your in-car sessions, it is very easy for those to drop. Continued professional development will help maintain and improve your instructional ability and techniques. It is important to keep up to date with any changes within the industry to guarantee satisfied customers and improve your own job satisfaction.
Chris can provide help and support in many ways and is very passionate about driver education and helping fellow Instructors enhance their skills. The Standards Check is new, and many seem worried they may struggle to satisfy the requirements.
If you are one of those Instructors, then a good place to start your preparation would be to read ADI 1 Chapter 4 and look at the National Standards for Driver and Rider training. These two documents will give you an insight into what the check is about and the criteria you will be expected to meet. Having read the documents, if you are still worried that you may struggle or feel that you don't understand any aspect, then contact Chris today!
